January 2024. Upstate Interiors LLC starts the year off right by being featured as the “Sub Spotlight” in Turner Pike’s inaugural issue of their Community and Citizenship Bulletin. UI’s efforts on the Strong Memorial Hospital Expansion Project and the launching of Upstate Interiors Academy (UIA) are highlighted throughout the article, as well as, some friendly faces from our team. When referencing the work completed by Upstate Interiors, the article reads that our team executed the project, “with excellent craftmanship and professionalism. December 2, 2023. Sending a huge thank you to Upstate Interiors Academy guest speaker, Mrs. Priscilla Parker, Financial Services Professional, Vision Financial Group for joining our cohort this morning and speaking with them about building credit and making wise financial decisions. Our cohort enjoyed the session and UIA looks forward to welcoming Priscilla and her team back in the future.

Upstate Interiors has completed the University of Rochester Emergency Department Enabling project. We would like to thank the University of Rochester for their vision to ensure that City and County residents had an opportunity to work on this project. We are grateful to the Turner/ Pike team for all of their support. Shout out to the entire UI team!

Upstate Interiors is proud to have completed the interior package at the Lincoln Branch Library located on Joseph Avenue. We shout out all of our team members who worked on this project. This library will be a great resource for our community!

Shout out to George, Hafeez and the great Amico staff for training UI’s team on the MRS (Monitor Rail Systems). The MRS were installed at the University of Rochester Medical Center Ambulatory Orthopedics Campus.

JATC Electrical Training Center

Shout out to Roy, Ryan, Robert, Kathy and the wonderful Pike Company team. The Pike Company helped UI’s workforce initiative by awarding us the JATC Electrical training center project. Shout out to UI’s team member Joseph. We look forward to the pictures of the completed project.

We would like to shout out Sara, Karl, John and the wonderful team at Massa Construction. They awarded UI the contract to renovate Wilson Magnet High School. This gave our city and county residents great experience in cold metal framing and acoustical ceilings. Shout out to Dwayne McClary for leading the UI team.

The Urban League of Rochester

Shout out to all the wonderful work that The Urban League of Rochester is doing in the community. UI was invited by Jonathan Compton to observe residents working on their latest project at the Urban League’s training facility on Monday, November 28, 2022. Cecil was impressed and is looking forward to helping them get into the union and gain the necessary skills to be masters of their craft. 

ITEC Training & Education Center

Cecil spoke to ITEC’s cohort Thursday, December 8, 2022. They are a great group of individuals. We are excited about the great work that Aubrey, Kevin and the rest of the staff do on a daily basis training and preparing the next generation of skilled workers. Upstate Interiors is grateful to have ITEC as a community partner.

Shout out to the outstanding work and dedication that Shlon, Pleasant and staff do at HopeWorks. Knofi had an opportunity to interview one of their rising stars Tuesday, November 29, 2022. He feels the skills and training that the candidates are exposed to is second to none. UI is excited about it’s partnership with HopeWorks and is invested in working with them to provide opportunities to their emerging candidates.

Shout out to Chris, Tim, Jomo, Jeff and all the great men and women at Carpenters Local 276. They do a phenomenal job recruiting and ensuring that we have qualified residents. Our workforce initiative is a success because of the work that they do daily! We want to thank Steve and the training center for the work that they do training our union workforce. The high tech facility and classes that the union offer our members allow us to be prepared with the knowledge and skills to be the best of the best.

Dave continues to be the best at his job making sure he meets the demand of supplying well trained finishers to UI finishing crew.
